Teach a person to fish, and they will have the skill for a lifetime. However, how well they fish takes practice, and persistence. Your employees ability to learn and have new skills or even just polishing up old skills is an assessment of how effective they are able to follow direction and consistently follow instructions. Evaluations of this training, that many business often give after their first 90 days of a probational period; helps you as leadership make changes, if the skills missed are consistent with all staff, and to also "weed out" the ones who's not serious about you and your business.
